A BIT ABOUT US Our aim Since our conception in 1954, the aim of Cymdeithas Gymunedol Y Bala a Phenllyn (Bala & Penllyn Community Association) has always been to improve the life, health, and the social & mental wellbeing of the whole Bala and Penllyn community. We play an important role in bringing people together and helping to make Bala and Penllyn a cohesive, inclusive, enjoyable, and sustainable community within a vibrant Welsh Culture and across the whole age and ability range. Services We run a range of activities from our community pavilion building, including an adult learning group, an after school & holiday club, Community Bingo, a craft and support group, first aid classes, sport and recreational activities and much more. We hire out our hall (and playing fields) for private and community group use. If you would like to hire our facilities for a private event, or if you are interested in running a group or class from our centre, get in touch. Get involved Volunteers help promote our Charity’s work, run, and support classes and groups and keep our facilities running and open to the public. All of the Charity Trustees and elected management committee are volunteers who bring their skills, knowledge, and experience to manage the strategic direction and vision of the organisation. Why not join us? We are keen to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer or be part of our team. Funding Cymdeithas Gymunedol Y Bala a Phenllyn is an independent registered Charity. We rely on income from hall & facility hire, local fundraising events, a weekly community Tote Double draw, occasional donations and membership fees for social and recreational groups that use our facilities and any grants that are applicable to our situation.
